Women @ Work – WomenZone, B-EQUAL - Bradford Equality Employment Project

WomenZone carried out a two year “Women @ Work” project, which aimed to increase local women’s self-esteem and employability.
The Women @ Work programme provided over thirty courses in a number of different subjects, at different levels, allowing women to progress through their chosen subjects. Approximately two hundred women accessed training. Beneficiaries were provided with much needed support throughout training, including a one-to-one person centred approach, a women only community facility and childcare provision whilst studying. Training ranged from literacy, teaching assistant training, confidence building and assertiveness, IT, dressmaking, job search and careers workshops.
