Removing barriers to learning and employment – Russell Street Project, B-EQUAL - Bradford Equality Employment Project
Description
The project was able to successfully disseminate, network and mainstream innovative methods of engaging disaffected communities into training, employment and empowerment into mainstream activities. Through this interaction Russell Street utilised mentors to help address barriers to employment.
The ‘Learning champions Programme’ identified individuals to act as role models to young Asian men. Learner Champions and Representatives were also identified to work with schools and communities.
