The transnational partners in Bridging the Gender Gaps have come together from Spain, Finland, the United Kingdom and Austria, bringing a wealth of experience in the field of equal opportunities and a commitment and vision towards addressing issues of gender stereotyping in the labour market.
To facilitate the exchange of information and experience and the sharing of models of good practice and successful innovations, the programme was organised into four working groups:
Some of the activities have included:
- Researching and identifying the causes and factors that sustain gender bias and stereotypes
- Increasing equal work and career opportunities for women
- Promoting means for better integration of women into the labour market
- Developing a more family-friendly corporate culture
- Initiating changes of attitude within the beneficiary groups and changes in policy and practice within public and private sector businesses and agencies
- Launching an awareness programme
- Promoting good practice
