Rainbow Economy has been carrying out parallel delivery and research projects exploring innovative ways of breaking down barriers to business creation and enterprise development, particularly for marginalised groups.

Objectives

• Develop joint, innovative approaches and to share and develop common materials and activities
• Build community-based organisations that focus on the engagement of disadvantaged groups
• Develop and implement strategies that promote empowerment and equal opportunities for disadvantaged groups, enhance partnership communication and the streamlining of information and innovation.

Planned outputs

• Identify common methodology through research of the skills present within the target groups
• Develop model solutions for creating and managing cooperatives
• Analysis of the ethnic enterprises and discovery of tools to foster the birth and support for ethnic enterprises
• Common model solutions for business training for the management and staff of the ethnic enterprises/cooperatives
• Development of different models of festival markets and research on the economic impact of these markets.
