Crossroads Caring for Carers is the leading national voluntary organisation providing practical help and breaks for carers, through a network of 191 local Schemes across England and Wales employing Carer Support Workers. These workers are employed and trained to replace the carer in the home, usually for a few hours on a regular basis, undertaking relevant personal care tasks and providing companionship for the adult or child service user in the carer’s absence.
