BEENIC: Balancing Employer and Employee Needs in Coventry, Adjust the Balance
Description
The introduction of the new Work and Families Act 2006 reflects the reality of a changing workforce and the need for organisations to adapt if they are to motivate, recruit and retain skilled employees.
This project aims to:

Engage with businesses in Coventry to provide support to help them implement flexible working practices and policies and to improve work life balance for their employees.

Assist businesses respond to the changing needs of their existing and potential workforce.

Identify the business benefits that flexible working can bring to an organisation.

Work with and identify champions of good practice in relation to work lifebalance within the City.

Establish a task group to lead on the work life balance agenda.
The project has been running a programme of events and workshops. These include two-day workshops, one-to-one company support and employer events covering a range of flexible working practices and policies.
