BEAT was established to address environmental issues in Bradford. BEAT found an under-representation of minority communities employed within the environmental sector. B-EQUAL enabled BEAT to raise awareness of careers in this sector by developing innovative opportunities for individuals from Black and Minority Ethnic communities.
The objective of the project was to inspire interest in the environment (covering everything from the green environment and landscaping, to the built environment). The project targeted young Black and Minority Ethnic individuals aged between 16-24.
Beneficiaries
16-17-year-olds in danger of exclusion from school, BME groups, People from disadvantaged areas (top 10% most deprived wards)
