Worcestershire County Council’s project has been very successful and has already engaged with over 150 employers across the county as the project continues. The project aims to raise awareness of worklife balance issues with employers and through a series of free workshops is designed to help employers improve their recruitment and retention of staff; to deal with stress in the workplace; to manage their workforces flexibly and to achieve and sustain work-life balance in their workplaces. Jo Randall, the project manager, has been facilitating an Employer Forum for employers across Worcestershire to share best practice in human resources management and work-life balance. The Forum meets quarterly with guest speakers presenting on topical issues with opportunity for members to exchange ideas and is followed by a networking lunch.
