Going Global 2: New Citizens, ATLAS Scotland - Action for Training and Learning for Asylum Seekers
Description
Glasgow Film Theatre (GFT) developed a successful education pack, Going Global, in 2003 aimed at raising awareness of asylum issues amongst schoolchildren. Going Global 2 built on this through extending the target group to include older students and expanding on the issues raised in the first pack, particularly focussing on the asylum seeker experience and cultural diversity. This in turn contributed to asylum seeker empowerment and integration.
